Prize Giving 2014

7 September 2014

Our end of year event, where we celebrate all the amazing effort and achievement of the year, was another winner!

Saturday night at the Pines saw amazing end to what has been another fantastic season for the whole Club.

We'd like to pay particular a tribute to our Club President, Dale Wortman, who was awarded the Dedication and Service to Netball Award. Not only that, but we helped celebrate with a belated birthday song from the whole club. Dale has a long history with East Netball and has many a great story to tell. She has recently found out a Dominion Post article that indicated that our Club was in existance as early as 1931!

Jaimie Taouma was acknowledged for her continuous work both behind the scenes and on the court with the inaugural award for the MVE, or Most Valuable Eastie.

Mitch Jordan really stepped up this year and played a huge role in the club from not only an administration persepctive, but also as East 2 Coach and the overarching Premier Coaching Coordinator role. Thanks so much for all your time and effort.

Marijke Preston (Mj) was also thanked by the club for her 7 year stint on the Committee in a range of roles covering, Assistant Club Captain, Social Coordinator, and Senior Coaching Coordinator. Mj is stepping down from the club at the end of the season, we'd like to thank her for all her hard work over the years.

And finally, a big thank you to the wider Committee and everyone that helped in bringing the season to a close and with organising the end of season prizegiving, we really couldn't do it without you!
